How to: Maintain Your Curly Unit
So you got this curly hair but how will you maintain it? I can give you the common answer by saying, "treat it like it's your hair!" but I will not. This is virgin hair but it's no longer attached to the donor. All the nutrients you attempt to put in or on the hair will simply not work. It will just coat the hair, attract dirt and make it dull. Curly hair will dry if its not maintained properly.
So what are my recommendations? Keep it simple and do not sleep in your unit if possible. *PAUSE* "What?" Oh so you want your application to last for a couple of days right? Now-a-days with all the different options for applying your unit you shouldn't be using harsh glues. We got options now, lol. But that's another topic for a different post.
However, from my years of experience the only thing curly hair needs is a little water and something to seal it in such as a light layer of gel. After about 1-2 weeks wash your unit with conditioner. The water pressure will help rinse out the dirt and the conditioner will assist the dirt out of your hair. Repeat this about 2-3 times, apply some leave-in conditioner, spritz a little oil and let the hair air dry. Don't be stingy with the leave-in conditioner. Its only going to coat ya hair anyway. Once its dry, fluff and wa-laaa!
